I am a qualified mathematics and science teacher, having taught in coeducational, boys’ and girls’ schools across Years 7-12. I am currently a doctoral student at The University of Sydney, conducting research into the impact of connecting mathematics with science on secondary students’ aspirations towards and achievement in mathematics. This involves working with mathematics and science teachers at one secondary school to better align their scope and sequences and collecting data on the student and teacher experience during connected learning projects.
